The Appendix of the Second Edition covers a wide range of subjects regarding the Regional Policy and Cohesion Policy of the European Union. More specifically, it refers to a) the main institutions, bodies, committees and programmes that determine the structure and functions of the Regional Policy and Cohesion Policy, b) the reforms of 1988 and the management framework from the First Cycle (CSF) until nowadays and c) the targets and prospects towards 2020. The importance of the Regional Policy of the European Union is such that can determine, to a large extent, the present and future of the Union.
This book, in a single publication format with the book "European Unification-A Process of Convergence, or Divergence? (Second Edition)" (in Greek), was taught for 8 consecutive years at the Athens University of Economics and Business and the Technological Educational Institute of Kalamata. It stopped being taught at the end of the spring semester of the academic year 2021-22 due to the fact that the cooperation between Dr. Ioannis Vasileiou and the publishing house Historical Quest has ceased.
